Just who is the Global-Trekker anyway? Or... does it even matter? Urban Legend has it that he's a covert agent, working for the US government on secretive operations, underground, way under ground. On occasion, it's been whispered that he’s a photo journalist, working freelance wherever the action is hot yet for all my years of investigation, I'm lead to think he's simply a tour guide, leading middle-aged, slightly bald tourists on photo-adventures by the bus load. Still, one never knows. Whatever he is, one thing is for sure, very little is actually known about him.

I can say that he is NOT in any way affiliated with the mediocre television program, similarly named Globe Trekker. I know this because he hates to go to foreign countries to shop, something that the Global Trekker TV program dedicates more than 50% of their resources on.

It's been whispered that tThe Global-Trekker has been known to go by the name of Kurt W. Baumgartner, but only when he has to take on a human form, and when taking on earthly limitations, he likes to imbibe American Ale's.  Having sampled brew's across the globe, he's of the opinion that American's make the best Ale's.  Of particular fancy to him are Anchor Brewing's Liberty Ale, Sierra Nevada's Celebration and Pale Ale's or Stone Breweries Ruination India Pale Ale.   Our friends across the Atlantic have their place in the annals of brewing; the Belgium Lambic's, the German Dunkel's and the British bottle cask conditioned Ale's but somehow they seem to Pale, in comparison!

The Global-Trekker started photography as a result of travel and not the reverse.  In an effort to capture the moment for posterity, he's improved his eye and his skill.   The Global-Trekker is currently shooting somewhere with various Canon EOS gear.
